Madar Tolerance Competition 2025
UAE students are invited to take part in the Madar Tolerance competition, a training program designed to foster tolerance, coexistence, and creative expression while developing technical skills. The competition includes three creative areas of exploration:
Sustainability & Tolerance – Exploring biomimicry and space through the lens of tolerance. The biomimicry workshops will be lead by Prof. Carlos Montaña PhD from Rochester Institute of Technology, Dubai (RIT Dubai).
Game Development – Designing games that integrate themes of tolerance. The Game Development workshops will be lead by Hamdan Al-Ali from MBZUAI (Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence).
Short Films – Using smartphones to create films that reflect coexistence values. The Short Films workshops will be lead by me Richard Cawood from Zayed University.
This initiative offers a structured learning experience that bridges creativity with meaningful social themes. I’m pleased to be leading the Short Films workshop again this year, helping students explore mobile filmmaking as a tool for storytelling and social impact.
