Project Two Drops Today...

In my ART 397 - Special Topics in Art & Design course, my students are using 3D scanning and photogrammetry to digitally capture and reconstruct lesser-known cultural sites, artifacts, and objects in the UAE.

Through tools like Scaniverse, Luma 3D, and Kiri Engine, they are experimenting with photogrammetry and Gaussian splatting to create highly detailed 3D models, preserving cultural heritage in a new way. Their final reconstructions will be pinned to a digital map and made viewable through immersive 3D experiences.

Excited to see their explorations come to life!
